"This is the VP-303 by Peter Edwards aka Casper Electronics; presently designing and forging with Bastl. Peter sits at the intersection of synth modification and circuit bending. This is a very good example of his design aesthetic and commitment to a robust and stable design.
This instrument has three main sections with independent controls.
The first section is based on the classic Boss VT-1 Voice Transformer live DJ tool. It is an expanded variable architecture neo-vocoder / robot voice processor: basically a pitch and format shifting device designed to produce vocal effects..
The second section is a complex shaping section; -switching between different wave modes yields vibratos thru timbe shifting..
The third section is an extreme range delay with a Space Echo style pitch skewing delay capable of extreme lows.. The wide range of speed manipulation available lends to all manner of lo-fidelity excursions into subsonic structures, manic accelerations, delay sweeps, dramatic signal degradation and destruction, more.
All the electronics, switches, modifiers and knobs have been installed onto a custom art facing and into a robust water-proof baby blue pelican style case.
