Waldorf Quantum - Resonator

Published on Dec 29, 2018 100 Things I Do

"I thought we would take a look at the Resonator engine in the Quantum this week. Based on the idea of Karplus–Strong string synthesis where you have a generator (Normally noise) then you excite various frequencies and use feedback to create bell, metallic and string type Timbres. First I show some of the options the Quantum makes available, then make a basic patch using all 3 Oscillators \ Engines.

Interestingly you can also use the Resonator to manipulate other sounds on the Quantum. A lot of fun and many hours to loose exploring the possibilities."
