The 1-bit synth! The first time it was featured was back on August 31, 2005, just over a month after this version of the site launced.

"For this last jam I wanted to surprise you by putting together all the gears used during this period of #jamuary2019 and to surprise a rare and unavailable piece: the 1-bit symphony of Tristan Perich: programmed entirely in assembly code and inserted into a microchip to make the listening approach even more physical and direct."
