"Serviced a few years ago (and VERY recently, too-- see below) by Wes Taggart/Analogics who completely overhauled and updated this Memorymoog Plus (receipt will be provided to the new owner). Wes was the tech who Moog Inc. requested to overhaul a Memorymoog in support of the Bob Moog Foundation.

Here's some of what Wes did for this Memorymoog Plus:

• Rebuilt the power supply
• Recapped the synth
• Installed the Autotune update
• Replaced the battery
• Repaired the octave circuit
• Replaced two CEM3440 chips
• Calibration

All of this work was completed in 2016.

* And to ready the Memorymoog Plus for this sale, at the end of 2018 -- very recently, I drove it personally to Rosen Sound, a great music electronics shop in the LA area for a tune up. Rob calibrated the synth and replaced one transistor. (I will send the invoice to the new owner).

One minor issue is that with my headphones, the headphone output is distorted. In Rob's shop however, the headphone jack worked great. This may be a matter of headphone impedance or using an adapter- I don't know. I'm just making it clear that there may be an issue with the headphone output. There are no issues at all with the main outputs in the back of the Memorymoog Plus. Rob also said that one segment of the display flickers or cuts out; for example, one of the little lines that make up one part of a number. I asked him if he thought it was a significant issue. He said if it was his own synth, he wouldn't bother doing anything about it because you can still read the number. To be clear, it's not an entire number that can't be seen-- it is one small segment of a number. This is a typical Memorymoog issue (Wes also said). Though since I got it back from him, all the segments have been appearing as normal.

The synth works best with the usual routine of pressing the Autotune button after it's been on for 30 minutes and whenever needed thereafter. It can be played immediately when it's turned on, but for best tuning stability wait 30 minutes before hitting the Autotune button.

It sounds amazing. All 6 voices tune great. The arpegiator, all oscillators, MIDI, the knobs-- all work great!"
