"Modified an old Korg Poly 61 so that the cut off frequency and resonance can be adjusted real time. The addition of selector switches is a useful addition and enables the selected sound to be set back to the preset values instantaneously. If anyone wants details of the mod let me know. "It has had a new battery fitted, main circuit board has been cleaned up (after original battery fault), all keyboard keys have been stripped and cleaned –they all work correctly. All operational buttons and potentiometers have been cleaned and work correctly. All connectors have been cleaned and re-connected.The modification has been carried out so that the filter cut off frequency and resonance can be modified real time. The switches also allow the real time mods to be selected as and when required. It has been completed to a good standard with the new wiring added to looms.
Other mods similar to this do not have the switches fitted. The problem with this is that when the presets are re-called they are modified straight away by the position of the pots. With this mod you can select whether to have the original sound, or allow the preset to be modified in real time. You can even switch on the fly, providing some interesting 'switching' sounds."
