"There are four boards inside a prophet 5. Two control boards that have all the pots and switches. one processor board. and one oscillator board. that is it. It is not a complicated machine full of boards like the Voyetra 8. I think it would be safe to say there are not many of these around. ALL SSM CHIPS ARE GONE. One day someone will remake the SSM like they did with the CEM chips."
According to Wikipedia, the Prophet-5 Rev 1 & 2 used the following SSM chips:
11x SSM2030 VCO
5x SSM2040 VCF
10x SSM2050 EG
21x SSM2020 VCA
Currently Sound Semiconductor is reproducing new versions of SSM chips, but not any of the above.
