The specific filters, the oscillator types, modulation capabilities, interface and CV. In short, the more synths you own, the more redundant they begin to feel. Most people can only afford one or a few synths, so they may not notice. What differentiates most synths sonically is their character, but after three, four or more standard analog mono synths you realize you're pretty much just picking up different shades of the same color - like different brands of vanilla ice cream, or IPA for that matter. You also become more critical, so if a mono synth has the feature set but say lacks that special filter, it brings it down a notch. The Pro 2 has that special filter. Everyone I know and respect offline that have been heavily into synths over the decade agree, the Pro 2 stands out from other synths.
