More OP-1 sound comparisons with an external keyboard
Published on Dec 18, 2019 Synth & Sundry
"A wide range of Teenage Engineering OP-1 synth sounds tested out using both the OP1 keys and the Arturia Keystep which is capable of velocity and aftertouch. While the OP-1 does not support aftertouch, it does respond to velocity. However, its own keyboard isn't capable of transmitting it to the sound engines. Check out what the differences are for a wide range of sounds.
This video is a follow up to an earlier test where I showed how to set up an external keyboard with the OP-1over USB through a laptop running Ableton Live: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzpZ4... Check that out if you need a refresher.
These are the OP-1 synthesizer engines covered in this video. Click on the time stamp to jump to the right spot:

- 01:48 Digital
- 03:36 DNA
- 04:54 Dr. Wave
