"The Gamechanger Audio Light Pedal is a next-generation take on the spring reverb concept—by adding optical sensing to typical spring reverb techniques, the Light Pedal brings new tricks and sonic definition to this classic effect.

Light Pedal uses a series of optical sensors to detect displacement of light generated by the vibrating of a traditional spring tank. This eliminates the mechanical loss of energy required to turn the spring's vibrations back into sound, and thereby makes it such that Light Pedal can produce a much broader range of colors than the typical dark, murky spring tank. By alternating between reading multiple optical sensors and introducting feedback, Light Pedal can additionally create effects ranging from tremolo and shimmer to howling tones and harmonic sweeps.

Like all prior Gamechanger releases, the Light Pedal is a refreshing take on a traditional concept, extending its sonic potential considerably.
