The Mayer M800 made its first appearance at SUPERBOOTH 2019, posted here.

"The amazing M800 Polyphonic Synthesizer Multi-Timbral Virtual Analog with touch screen and variable multimode filter like SEM: multimode state variable filter (Curtis chip emulation) and another Diode ladder filter (Steiner Parker) 12db and another on MOOG_LD23: Transistor ladder (moog style) 24db and more from Mayer Electronic has just arrived here.

A powerful tool that takes the eurorack module to a new level M800 - Virtual Analog [VA] multitimbral polyphonic synthesizer in the Eurorack format. Multitimbral with four Parts. The synth-engine has 12 Voices on the end of the signal path every part has your own stackable effect section (Delay, Reverb, Chorus, Equalizer ...).

Four independend Arpeggiator und Step / Trigger Sequenzer may play one of the four Synth parts. The Trigger Sequenzer may trigger the built in transient sample player (Drum Kit .wav) or send trigger to the MIDI-Out.

The Voice consists of two aliasing free classic waveform oscillators (OSC1, OSC2)

The sum of those OSC1 & OSC2 will forward to the multimode filter (FILTER) with a 12 / 24db. After the multimode filter (FILTER) the signal is passed through the 1st amplifier (AMP1).

The aliasing free wavetable oscillator (WT3) has up to 6 possible instances that can be detuned in between. Wavetable oscillator (WT3) may alternate sum to OSC1 / 2 and follows the classic structure of a subtractive synthesizer or route through the 2nd amplifier (AMP2) as a secondary path beside the normal structure. The wavetable position, the FILTER and the AMP1 & AMP2 can be controlled with independent ENVs or LFOs. This gives the sound additional overtone harmonics and motion.

The wavetables are stored in the file system and can be updated. Should one or more wavetables have less than 256 waveforms, they will automatically expand to 256 waveforms, with the help of a linear interpolation algorithm.

This oscillator generates classic waveforms which are typical in the analog synthesizer world. For sure the oscillator is bandlimited (min blip) and do not generate aliasing effects. The OSC1 may hard sync OSC2. This combination makes the oscillator sound like a real analog oscillator.

The MULTIMODE FILTER emulates some classical analog filter types such as filters with 12db or 24db filter depth LP, BP, HP, NS.

Some filter types start self-oscillating on high resonance values.

The actual cutoff frequency will be displayed by the cursor in real time. The graphical view displays the filter curve in context with the selected filter type, filter mode and their individual parameters.

The Effect Section exists for ever part (A, B, C, D) independendly. The Effect Section may be stacked and assigned in order.

(DELAY, CHORUS-FLANGER, EQ, COMPRESSOR, REVERB ...) and more ..
