Kurzweil 1000PX | The Proteus Killer?

Espen Kraft

"The legendary and extremely expensive Kurzweil K250 sported some truly spectacular sounds for its time. Fast forward to 1988 and Kurzweil decided to put many of these sounds into different expanders. The 1000PX is one of them.

I really like this module. Very usable and extremely well sampled sounds.

Not very easy to edit from the from the front panel, but I really have no desire to edit these sounds today. This is the module I'm more than happy to use as a preset module. Much more so than the Proteus.

The video footage is from the very west of Norway, the bay of Hoddevik, known for its awesome waves and a eldorado for surfers. The tide was very low this day so not anything spectacular in terms of surfing, but the scenery is stunning. Of course I shot all these clips myself.

Some of the clips are from KrÄkenes fyr, another spectacular site, even furter west, right into the Atlantic ocean.

Many thanks to Anders Jensen for letting me use this for this video! :)"
