"The module version of the DX7II, the Yamaha TX802 even improves on the keyboard version by having 8 separate tone generators. Making this a totally flexible multi-timbral DX7II.

Considering price, features, power, durability and availability... this is by far the 80s DX/FM- synth I recommend above all others. Especially if you only want ONE.
And no, the later models like EX5, FS1R, Montage, ModX etc, it's not the same although nice in their own rights."
