"I purchased this modular synthesizer system in 2020 directly from Andrew Kilpatrick in Canada and it cost me $7,010 all together which is a killer price for such a monstrous, powerful and amazing sounding system which is really underrated in my opinion and other engineers I have spoken with have also said so At the time I was considering a single Buchla 200e rack (4 modules) and for the 4 specific modules it was going to cost $6,620 and that was not including Pomona brand banana patch cables
I feel that I no doubt made the better choice with the K-Format modular system
The system is quite rare and I believe I have the largest "complete" system out there
I'm not sure at this point if Andrew will continue building these systems or for how much longer really
The system includes every single module that is offered for the K-Format modular system including multiples of some of the most important modules
The system includes 3 Pitch Oscillator modules, these modules are called "Pitch Oscillator" modules but they are truly way much more than that with all analog waveforms available as well as wave shaping, both Linear and Exponential FM capabilities, Low Frequency settings and much more
It includes 2 Envelope Modulator modules which each include 2 Low Frequency Oscillators with complex features and 2 Attack Decay Envelope Generators with cycling capabilities and plenty of voltage control, so that is 4 of these LFO's and 4 of these Attack Decay EG's, 8 complex Modulation sources all together and that's not including the 3 Oscillator modules and Entropy Sequencer module
It includes 1 Filter Amp module which is 4 x Low Pass Gates that can function as VCA's, Low Pass VCF's or both
It includes 1 Dynamic Filter module which sounds amazing and includes a plethora of VCF modes and an added Envelope Follower
It includes 1 Dual Envelope module with 2 full ADSR Envelope Generators with re-trigger functions and plenty of voltage control
It includes the Entropy Sequencer module which is incredibly deep and complex with all sorts of modes and random voltage generation and modulation etc
It includes 1 Voltage Processor module which is an amazing utility module with plenty of functionality including Control Voltage mixing and which I used to flawlessly sequence vintage Roland synths with CV and Gate
It includes a stereo Digital Effects module which is an incredible dual effects processor with 2 separate digital effects sections including Reverbs, Delays, Distortion, Ring Modulation, Sample and Hold and Wave Folding plus more and of course lots of control voltage capabilities
Finally the system includes the MIDI Interface module which is incredible and includes full MIDI capabilities of course as well as a multi channel stereo Mixer with great voltage control capabilities, I would patch bass sounds and anything I could think of and sequence the entire system using my Elektron Digitakt, it's quite amazing sequencing this entire modular system
These descriptions are just barely scratching the surface, this is an an incredibly deep and powerful modular synthesizer system which again is completely underrated in my opinion, I paired it with the BugBrand 2Frame SynthVoice+ modular synthesizer system and the 2 systems work absolutely flawlessly together and operate on the same technical specs with no converting necessary, together it's an incredible modular synthesizer system, if you are interested in both systems that is also an option
The person that owns this complete modular synthesizer system will have a deep, professional and amazing sounding synthesizer system
Only selling cause I am moving and need the funds
The system is powered by the powered boat that includes the MIDI, Processor, Effects and Sequencer modules and a single power supply "
