"Roland DJ-70 MK2, retro sampling keyboard sampler workstation made in Italy in 1994!

The MK2 is the updated version from previous standard DJ-70, fully retro compatible adding more memory (32mb), SCSI interface and a better sequencer with BPM sample control. This second version is quite more rare than the original one!

SERIAL NUMBER: 0000005 (This means that our MK2 is the fifth MK2 ever produced!).

CONDITION: This Roland DJ70 MK2 is fully working and in very good cosmetical conditions for its age. Instead of the original floppy driver, a Gotek USB Floppy Emulator with Oled display was installed to avoid using Floppy Disks. The original disassembled floppy driver is still functional and is included in the sale (please, check photo). In the sale we also include a USB key already loaded with the sounds of synths and historical instruments in HFE format: among these the D50, the S760, etc. There are about 1500 sounds inside (please, check all photos)!

This Gotek USB Floppy Emulator replace the original floppy drive and provide the same exact functionality as the original with the convenience of around 1500 floppy disk capacity and the reliability of solid-state memory. Included in the USB key you will find a cool sample library collection consisting on more than 1500 floppy images (HFE format) with everything from the original factory library that Roland put out on floppy disks, to the hard to find Universe of Sounds series and Club50 Roland library! The library is organized by directories into the USB key. We will also include in the sale a short document produced by the previous owner to understand the basic operation and use of the Gotek USB Floppy Emulator.

IMPORTANT: The only small cosmetical “flaw” to report is that on the back of the sampler one corner is a bit blunt for a hit (please, see photo). Another thing, that is typical of the MK2, is that the display emits a faint sound, like a costant soft hiss, which is not recorded and does not affect the operation of the sampler."
