Circuit bent Yamaha DD-8 - Experimenting with BandPass Filter

video uploads by batchas

"I wanted to tame the whistle which affects badly the DD-8 sound when the frequency is pitched down. This high pitched whistle can be very annoying as it can be extremely loud!
So I installed a Buchla 194 filter and a mixer on the DD-8. It enables me to divide the internal DD-8 signal into four frequency bands that I can adjust and mix together.
I use my Scrotum Lab’s Le Seq to modulate the frequency of the DD-8. Le Seq is clocked by the DD-8.
I made an external box with a voltage controlled clock divider. It allows to divide the weird DD-8 clock and drive my Le Seq external sequencer. Efx = Hologram Microcosm"
