How to recreate the Hologram Microcosm in Eurorack (for just 10x the price)

video upload by Dexba

"Do less with more! Wasn't that the saying?
With this patch I wanted to recreate a simple two-voice setup, using two different sequencers but the same oscillator (the Instruo Cs-L), and then run them through a sort of Hologram Microcosm remade in eurorack.
As for the PROs, a little tune at the beginning, then the patch demonstration/tutorial/patch breakdown/something else I don't remember, and the final complete jam at the end of the video.
Enjoy! 🧡"

  1. A celebration of 21st Century excess. Ten times as much? Really? That little rack cost five grand? I never have to wonder why I stay far away from modular. It's like people (guys 99%) who build their own cars. Yes, it's a hobby for you, but there's a car store right over there. Anything that needs patch wires is clearly unfinished and should be returned to the factory.

    1. I want (and do) to agree with you, and yes, the title is to show how absurd all that is. But as with cars, I would never recommend a person looking for a a car to build it themselves, as for someone hungry to start slow cooking pulled pork smoking it for 18 hours.
But sure I am glad people are making pulled pork, custom cars, and modular synths ;)
