Probably most famous as being New Order's and Electronic's go to synth throughout their career and still to this day. I should also mention Ulrich Schnauss who also used this synth to amazing effect across most of his discography.
The Voyetra's basic architecture is similar to a Jupiter 8, being an 8 voice analogue poly with keyboard split..but with a much nicer tone and a much, much deeper and comprehensive set of programming options to hand.
This stunning unit is a very late Revision 4 model dated from 1986 and as such has all the final updates and bug fixes that were applied over the model's lifetime. Being a late model it benefits with being able to be controlled and programmed via MIDI..which is very useful when you have 14 pages of functions! The unit has some stickers applied to the control panel to reveal some of the hidden functions, these are easily removable and leave no trace once taken off. Personally I would keep them as they are very useful..so I've left them on.
This Voyetra has been full serviced and re-capped ready for sale, this includes rebuilding the power supply with new components and capacitors, all the cards including the front panel have been serviced with all new capacitors throughout, a new modern quiet cooling fan fitted(the originals were very noisy!
This unit was also previously serviced about 10 years ago by Jeff Blenkinsopp of The Analog Lab NYC who was an original Octave Plateau engineer. The actual unit can actually be seen on youtube featured in a video they did on the Voyetra at the time for which I've provided a link.
The VPK-5 Keyboard was actually a NOS unit. This has been completely stripped and the keybed re-bushed and aligned with new rubber bushes. The bushes deteriorate with time even in storage so always need replacement..a long, time consuming job on a VPK-5!
The unit is currently set to 240 volts for UK/Euro operation but has an internal switch to easily change it to 120 volts."
