Making a synthesizer patch from scratch | Tutorial

video upload by Espen Kraft

"When a client pays top dollar for my sound design, I always aim for making the patches from scratch. That way I can get the clients totally original sounds, previously not heard anywhere else.

In addition it gives me great pleasure knowing I actually WORKED for the money.

In this case I was to make a patch that combined the timbre of something sacral, like a church organ, combined with a soft pad.

A good starting point for that is a pulse wave (OSC 1) mixed with a saw wave (OSC 2).

A big thanks to the client for letting me use this sound as part of a tutorial on my channel."
