Mystery synth prototype with generative oscillators from Rare Waves

video upload by EA78751

"Rare Waves demonstrates a synth prototype in 2024. This tabletop synth with black panel and mahogany sides contains a pair of identical euro modules that EA developed in 2021. The modules each contain a voltage-controlled generative oscillator and a 4-pole filter. The generative oscillators have wide frequency range and several outputs, so they can be used as sequencers, tone generators or noise sources. The generative oscillators can be linked by clock in / clock out and have built-in switchable clock dividers. The 4-pole filter has well-behaved high-Q self oscillation and can do damped sine wave percussion and sine wave VCO, with choice of either LPF or all pass phase shifter mode. All together, the tabletop unit in the video demo contains 2x generative oscillators and 2x 4-pole VCFs, which makes many possibilities for cross modulation. I’m not sure how many waveforms are possible, but it’s a lot! All analog, not a CPU-based synth. Rare Waves LLC / Grendel 2024 (rarewaves.net)

Part 1 (0:00) Damped sine wave percussion sequence with sine bass
Part 2 (2:29) V/oct melodic control from external sequencer (Grendel 2TAC)
Part 3 (6:27) White noise and complex timbres
Part 4 (11:02) Freeform sound and noise synthesis"
