How It Works

Each musical key has seven chords that work most naturally within it (see Diatonic Chords / Nashville Number System).

The user selects which musical key they want to play in. HiChord's seven chord buttons are automatically mapped to the chords that work with the current key. This makes the HiChord immediately playable and inspiring, with no wrong notes.

These chords can then be modified and embellished with the joystick. For example, press up to change from Major to Minor, press down to create a 7 chord, press right to create a SUS4 chord.

Use the function buttons while pressing a chord button to change the chord's inversion and octave. Easily change between keys while the chords are automatically transposed.

HiChord plays these chords through its built-in 10-Oscillator digital synth engine, powerful built-in effects, and arpeggio modes.

HiChord is instantly playable, right out of the box. No additional software, hardware, or music theory knowledge is necessary. HiChord's powerful, built-in synth engine has all the sounds you need.

Although HiChord is a stand-alone synthesizer, it can also play nicely with others using MIDI Out! Use the included USB-C cable to control other synths and DAWs with HiChord. Play chords easily using any sounds from Logic, Ableton, Fruity Loops, or Cubase by plugging your HiChord directly into your computer.

HiChord's compact and durable form factor, built-in speaker, headphone jack, and rechargeable LiPo battery make it an essential everyday carry for whenever inspiration strikes.
