    I can never understand the appeal of the JD-990. The JD-800 is a middling VA with a Wonderland control function. Taking away everything that makes the JD-800 unique seems like an exercise in futility, like taking the drive train from a not particularly noteworthy sport car and putting it into a shopping trolley.
