This is one of the final versions from 1985 with factory midi and the upgraded numeral and function buttons. It has a few upgrades that add a nice touch of detail. It has beautiful walnut end panels, instead of the brown plastic ones usually found on the DX. It has the little bracket in the front to reinforce the closure area, this was found on only the very early DMXs, we had one that was beyond repair and we parted out, and I nicked this little piece to class-up this DX, it just makes the opening and closing more neat, and reinforces the front lip. Includes 3 zif sockets for easy swapping of Eproms. And has the Tape-sync board that I think adds more functionality to the tape/sync features... but not sure. I definitely have used it with FSK-sync and my 4-track and it worked great.
It has been fully tested and up until a couple years ago was being used on recordings by me. I have DMX that I am restoring and I'm using the funds from this to get that and my CR-78 up to spec and modded."
