The Moog Taurus I is a monophonic analog bass synthesizer introduced in 1975, renowned for its deep, powerful bass tones. Designed as foot-operated pedals, it allows musicians to play bass lines using their feet, freeing their hands for other instruments.
Key Features
Oscillators: Two voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) offering square and sawtooth waveforms.

Filter: Features a 24 dB/octave low-pass filter with controls for cutoff frequency, contour amount, emphasis (resonance), and attack/decay times.

Presets: Includes three factory presets—Taurus, Bass, and Tuba—and one user-programmable slot for custom sounds.

Envelope Generator: Offers attack and decay controls for shaping the amplitude envelope.

Glide Effect: Adjustable portamento effect for smooth note transitions.

Foot Controls: Two large foot sliders provide real-time control over filter cutoff and volume."
