Anyone notice how often something forty years old is used to properly demonstrate an instrument these days? Yes, people are in love with the '80s, and I am, too. But, how often is anything from the past five years used to demonstrate the capability of an instrument? And that the most noteworthy instruments are basically just copies of forty or fifty year old equipment? I'm not saying old is always good and new is always better, but the new mines are already being played out while the old ones are still being scraped out for the last nugget. There seems to be a dearth of innovation in this century without flying cars.
