v7.0 Contents

Two LFOs: Expand your sound design possibilities with a second LFO for all voices. It works like the first LFO except that it does not have Attack or Delay parameters. It has no hardwired AM/FM mod on the operator, so it should be used in the mod matrix.

UI Improvement: Volumes for all 6 operators can now be edited at the same time. When you are on the Base tab, operators become color-matched to the encoders that control their volume.

Global > Display > Startup Bank: allows to choose which Patch or Voice bank you want to load on startup.

Mod Matrix: Added each slot's ratio as modulation destination. To produce the intended effect modulations have to be put in the right order (eg. slot 1 modulates slot 2 that modulates another parameter), otherwise modulations will occur across voices (which can be used for more complex effects).

MIDI Player: can now play through MIDI out.

MIDI Player: added "Play Next" feature, it allows to automatically play an entire folder of MIDI files like a playlist

MIDI Player: "Play Next" and "Looped" options are now remembered on shutdown

Effect Presets: you can now store and load your favourite effect settings. There are 128 effect slots available (see "Load Preset" and "Save Preset" buttons on the effect page)

Free running envelopes. All envelopes can now be set to FreeRun, which is especialy useful to have timbral changes that do not reset on every key press or to use an envelope as LFO. Note that this feature is not compatible with having a sustain point, so sustain will be disabled when you select the Free Running mode.

16-track 128-step sequence stored in each performance. You can record by entering notes on the touchscreen or sending MIDI to the EssenceFM. The sequencer supports up to 16 notes poly per step and can control external gear through MIDI out. You can set any length from 1 to 128 steps for the sequence, transpose it and adjust tempo all in real-time.

Fixed too high feedback amount when using a carrier as feedback source. Now the Fb Level parameter has a more useful range when the source is a carrier. Warning: when upgrading your firmware, voices that use this feedback scheme will be automatically updated to reflect this change (feedback level will be increased to compensate). If you import sounds that were made before this change and use carriers as feedback sources, you will need to tweak them.

Fixed sending MIDI data to MIDI Out could make the sound glitchy and occasionally freeze the system

MPE: on Performance page, when keeping your finger pressed on a part, the popup allows you to clone that part into a range of parts (eg. from 1 to 8 instead of cloning to all parts previously). That makes for easy and flexible MPE performance setup

Removed old ugly color themes and backgrounds. Defaults to black with the ability to adjust blue level.

When creating a new modulation in the mod matrix, offset and ratio are now reset to respectively 0 and 100% instead of reusing the old values from a previously deleted modulation.

When editing a voice layer inside a patch and saving it to another slot, all the layers referencing that voice are now updated (instead of just the current layer).

Fixed wrong behavior when trying to mute an operator that is not already focused (needed a triple press)

Fixed self-disappearing message when trying to save multiple elements with write protect enabled
