Music festival delivers one of its best line-ups yet!
Edition 16 of an Electronic Music Festival established in 2016 takes place in Birmingham in October of this year.
In October 2025 the sixteenth ‘The Seventh Wave Festival of Electronic Music’ takes place across three days at The Castle and Falcon.
For a relatively small festival The Seventh Wave continues to get some of the biggest names in electronic and progressive music.
The stellar line-up for #16 includes Plaid, Ultramarine, Richard Norris (The Grid), Mark Van Hoen/Locust, White Noise (featuring the legendary David Vorhaus) & much more.

Plaid - the innovative duo Ed Handley and Andy Turner have been expanding the realm of electronic music as Plaid since they diverged from trio The Black Dog in the early 90s. Plaid will be showcasing tracks from their new album.
Ultramarine is the UK electronic duo of Ian Cooper and Paul Hammond. Formed in 1989, they released their debut 'Folk' in 1990 on seminal Belgian label Les Disques du Crépuscule. The duo's much-loved second album 'Every Man and Woman is a Star' (Rough Trade, 1992) is considered a classic of its era.
Richard Norris - "The electronic musician's electronic musician" (Electronic Sound magazine). Richard has a long history creating music, particularly as one half of The Grid and Beyond The Wizards Sleeve.
Mark Van Hoen/Locust - Electronic producer/composer with releases as Locust, Scala, Autocreation, Seymour/Van Hoen, Drøne, Black Hearted Brother and collaborations with members of Seefeel, Slowdive, Lush and many more. Mark’s The Eternal Present (Dell'Orso Records) was Bleep’s ‘Record of the month’ for June.
White Noise is an English experimental electronic music band formed in London in 1968, which featured David Vorhaus along with Delia Derbyshire and Brian Hodgson from the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. After the release of their first LP David Vorhaus remained and he continues to release albums and play live with Mike Painter.
James Adrian Brown is a British-born songwriter and former guitarist in alternative rock band ‘Pulled Apart By Horses’. After achieving chart success, touring the world, and releasing four critically acclaimed studio albums, James has begun paving a pathway into the world of electronic music and composing.
