Serial number puts this unit as the second last Rev 4 ever made by Roland.
Excellent working condition - fully serviced with several 3340 VCO chips replaced (with Curtis reissues) and 3360 crossmod chips replaced, octocoupler ICs replaced, PSU filter caps replaced.
I am including spare 3340 re-issue chips from Curtis and other ICs related to the unit.
The unit functions perfectly and is set up to be used for many years to come - way more life can be expected out of this unit than fully original ones.
Fully calibrated for all factory requirements in terms of oscillator and circuit behaviour.
Retroaktiv MPG-8X unit (only a few months old!) will be supplied in box with Aus power supply (240v) but will work with any correctly polarised 9v DC power unit.
Best bit of this controller over the original is that it has extra functions and allows you to translate CC to the MKS-80 as well. My favourite part is the patch generation function - generate bass, pad, lead whatever in various categories for random new sounds all the time."
