Press release follows:

Los Angeles, CA — Noise Engineering, known for their fun and unique takes on Eurorack modular synthesizers, has released the highly requested Mimetic Digitwolis, a configurable performance sequencer, MIDI-controlled quantizer, and successor to the beloved Mimetic Digitalis.

The original Mimetic Digitalis has become a cult classic, thanks to its quick workflow and performative features. Noise Engineering has worked extensively to revamp and upgrade everything about the new version, while retaining the magic of the original. Fans of the first edition will enjoy familiar features like Shred randomization, extended cartesian sequencing abilities, and familiar editing workflows, all within the same 10 HP package.

Even with those similarities, Mimetic Digitwolis was redesigned from the ground up to be a great performance tool and sequencing utility. The new hardware features five trigger inputs and four CV inputs which can all be freely assigned to dozens of mappings within the module for complete flexibility. All editing and configuration can be done on the new color screen, making it easy to fit the module into your patch and view sequences at a glance. New to version two is the addition of MIDI in and out jacks, allowing a whole new level of connectivity with other studio gear – Digitwolis can be synchronized and controlled with other MIDI devices, and generates MIDI notes and CC modulation.

Mimetic Digitwolis also features a host of highly requested new features. The outputs can sequence four different types of signals – modulation CV, pitch CV, triggers, or gates – or can act as a quantizer on external CV signals. The quantizer can also be used internally on pitch CV lanes, and the scale can be edited within the module or with an external MIDI keyboard. Additionally, clock dividers can be applied to the four channels to change their advance rate, and each channel can have a different sequence length from one to 16 steps.

Despite its compact size and unintimidating interface, it’s clear that Mimetic Digitwolis is a flexible sequencing utility for any system, big or small. "Normally, we put a quote about the product in our press releases," says Kris, the Doer of Many Things at Noise Engineering. "But Mimetic Digitwolis does so much that it speaks for itself."

Mimetic Digitwolis is now open for preorders and starts shipping September 18th, 2025. Available at https://noiseengineering.us and at retailers globally.
