One technical note: the new LED screen controller has a quirk with these machines, where certain button combinations will make it go temporarily blank, or only show one line; this is normal! To get around it, you simply hit the Edit button then revert to one of the play modes (Single, Dual, Split). It’s worth this “quirk” to have a modern, reliable and gorgeous screen that will last another 4 decades ;-)
The floppy drive is working mechanically, but I can’t verify read/write operation as I don’t have any DS/DD disks; I can’t imagine using them today as SysEx dumps and cartridges are far easier and quicker to use!
Also includes a RAM4 cartridge with new battery, loaded with top notch DX sounds (all the iconic stuff), the collectible Yamaha hard case with DXII logo, a handful of Japanese documentation and brochures, and original music stand. I used many of the included sounds to create my virtual instrument series called "DX Dreams" - see the linked video for some examples.
You won't find a better, cleaner DX7IIFD anywhere on the planet. This is as close as it gets to opening a new one in 1987 - it even *smells* new when you open the case! Note this is a 100v Japanese version which works on U.S. 117v power, but I'd recommend a voltage transformer (about $30 on Amazon - I can provide a link).
Expertly packed and shipped fully insured within continental U.S. only, or free pickup/delivery in the Nashville, TN area."
