Edge+Crave+Spice 50 Combo Patches & Samples. Live Sound Demo
video upload by Anton Anru
"🟪🟧🟥 ECS Combo is a collection of 50 combo patches for the semi-modular system by Behringer: EDGE + CRAVE + SPICE.
This collection includes basses, drums/percussion, leads, plucks, textures, and FX. The sound palette covers a wide spectrum: massive and gentle, aggressive and soft, bright and muted, melodic and inharmonic tones, straight and polymetric patterns.

🎛 The main focus of the soundset is the high level of interconnection — not just syncing the synths with independent timbres (individual soundsets for EDGE, CRAVE, and SPICE are also available on my website). In this patchbook, the timbres of the synths are fused together and cannot exist separately:
🔹 they modulate each other with LFOs and Envelopes
🔹 a sequence from one synth may control parameters on the others
🔹 trigger interaction, clock/rhythm, and run/stop modulations break predictable patterns
🔹 audio signals from VCOs may serve as modulation sources, creating harmonies/intervals or wild experimental inharmonic tones
🔹 or they can be routed as audio into another synth to be processed by its filter and envelope, giving the sound a “second life.”
📻 EDGE, CRAVE, and SPICE take on different, well-defined roles. The result is not a sound mess, but synths working in close cooperation.
📖 The soundset comes in a PDF format. Each page contains notes explaining how the patch works, which parameters are worth tweaking during playback, and how to develop the timbre in performance. If you make the settings consciously and try the techniques described, you will discover the true depth of these instruments.
🧿 To recreate the patches, you will need up to 17 patch cables (including long ones, 30–45 cm), plus a splitter/multiplier (“star”) or a stackable cable (to sync the synths).
Audio examples of all patches are included in the soundset folder. Each patch has four demos: EDGE only, CRAVE only, SPICE only, and all together.
💾 Additionally, there is a separate folder with WAV (24/44100) samples of the same timbres, with Scale and BPM information. You can use them in a sampler or DAW to achieve 100% the same sound as in the demos. Slice them into one-shots or loops for further editing and processing.
The soundset also includes CRAVE patterns for each patch.
💡 I added pads to the video demo to place the presets in a musical context.
These pads are not included in the soundset."
