I don't know what people are complaining about. Zebra 2 and HZ use about 3% to 4% of my computer's CPU. Maybe people should budget for better computers. Or stop using a cell phone as a computer.
ReplyDeleteJust downloaded and installed Zebra 3 beta. It does go up to about 14% CPU on some particularly busy patches, but nothing to cry about. If people think they can mix professional songs in a $200 computer, they deserve no sympathy. Likewise, Urs, software can always be refined, depending on how much time you have. If you are suddenly inconveniencing the majority of your loyal customers, the onus is on you.
ReplyDeleteAnd just a side note: Apple Silicon, if this is how it performs, is singularly more disappointing than I expected. The usage levels on my Intel i9 don't even register visibly. CPU 7%, filter 6%, everything else near 0%.
