VAEMI – Volt Age Electronic Musical Instruments is pleased to announce El-Ma Ørsted V2, the second version of El-Ma Ørsted, its unique instrument that transforms electromagnetic fields into sound.
El-Ma Ørsted takes its name from the physicist and chemist Hans Christian Ørsted, known for his fundamental discoveries in the field of electromagnetism. “El-Ma” is an abbreviation of the term electromagnetic field.

El-Ma Ørsted V2 – Evolution in Design
El-Ma Ørsted V2 preserves the electronic infrastructure and sonic character of the previous version exactly, while being redesigned in a more compact, elegant, and portable form.
Instead of the wooden enclosure used in the V1 model, the V2 version is housed in a specially designed plastic case that is lightweight, durable, and small enough to fit comfortably in the palm of the hand. This new design provides significant practicality for field use, studio work, and everyday applications.
The new model features a practical rear battery cover that allows the 9V battery to be inserted and removed quickly and safely. Thanks to the threaded mechanism, battery replacement is easy and trouble-free.
Electronically, El-Ma Ørsted V2 delivers the same sensing sensitivity and sound character as the previous version, using the same high-quality components and coils. A new production approach enables a more compact and modern circuit architecture.
