"Exciting right?

Questions, feature requests, bug reports, and other contributions are welcome either here:

or here: / discord
Accessibility note: We have kept the accessibility perspective in mind while designing the UI, and aim to give Shortcircuit XT the same good screen reader support Surge XT has, but have not yet done that. This is one of the things we’ll improve on during the beta phase. Thanks for being patient with us.
Here’s a transcript of the text elements in the video:
Shortcircuit XT is a free sampler
plugin from the Surge Synth Team,
with a focus on creative sample manipulation
and some standard sampler features,
featuring advanced synthesis capabilities
to complement the sample playback.
Samples are loaded into zones and played back
in round-robin, random or layered modes.
Zones are organized into groups,
which live in one of 16 parts.
Zones, groups or parts send audio to a mixer channel,
which can send to separate plugin outputs if desired.
Polyphonic, monophonic and legato modes
are all available, selectable per group.
Shortcircuit XT loads wav, mp3, flac, and aif files,
as well as .SF2, .sfz and .multisample libraries,
and its browser can load individual
instruments from soundfonts.
Some features (certain multi-edit gestures,
accessibility, etc) are still under construction...
others are already in, like MPE and
adaptible (micro)tuning via MTS-ESP.
Each zone contains a very capable
per-voice modulation system,
with a mod matrix and an exhaustive list of
sources, including 4 LFOs, 5 EGs, and much more.
Zones can also load up to 4 per-voice processors.
Which can be oscillators, filters, modulation effects,
or nearly anything else you could think of.
These can also be routed in series, parallel,
or several mixed options.
Groups modulate and process the stereo sum of
their zone outputs, for interesting paraphonic workflows.
A small set of factory patches is under construction,
including the bells and drum kit used in this tune.
Contributions (based on CC0-licensed samples)
are certainly most welcome!
And as we move towards 1.0, any feedback, bug reports,
coding assistance, etc... you may have is really valuable.
We've been working on this for about 3 years,
and are happy to finally welcome you to try it out.
Enjoy!"
