"MELT analogue low-pass + band-pass filter with character...

An analogue filter module for Eurorack systems with an extensive feature set that makes MELT ideal as the final stage in a traditional synth voice: Pair it with an oscillator plus a few basic modulation sources, and you have the foundation of a complete monophonic synthesizer. MELT's low-pass and band-pass outputs can be used in parallel for a wide variety of tones, and the unique CORE TEMPERATURE control adjusts the character from mellow to truly wild.

'Modulate the modulation' using the built-in VCA in the FM1 cutoff CV path. A sequenced or stepped random CV modulating envelope depth here can add interesting dynamic motion to a bass line, for instance.

The VCA in the first audio input's signal path offers yet another way to expand MELT's sonic palette: E.g. emphasize the voice's attack by patching an overtone-rich sound into input 1 and a suitable envelope into the LVL1 socket.

The auxiliary (AUX) input and its VCA can be used to inject signals into the output VCAs, bypassing the filter circuitry: For instance a noise burst for percussion synthesis, or a pure sine wave fundamental like in the classic Yamaha CS80."

Cascade low-pass filter
Additional band-pass output
Variable character (Core Temperature)
12/18/24 dB per octave low-pass slope switch
Resonance bass drop compensation switch
Built-in 3-channel input mixer
Input 1 includes a modulatable VCA
Two cutoff CV inputs (FM1 & FM2) with attenuator knobs
FM1 includes an inverter switch and modulatable VCA
Individual VCAs for the low-pass and band-pass outputs
CV input for resonance modulation
AUX input (with attenuator knob and VCA) is routed to output VCAs, bypassing the filter
