"Sunday's Bloop Groop HANG JAM PLAY in The Digital Hub, Dublin 8 is gonna be deadly, we got loads of electronic music sets of all genres from new and seasoned Bloop Groopers, with loads of time to hang out, chat, talk about gear and make new pals.
PLUS a masterclass from synth expert / educator Éanna Cunnane + techno legend Andrew Sneyd AKA Gint - they're bringing us 'Buchla, What the Fuchla?'
They'll take a humorous but honest look at the Buchla history and design philosophy: what makes it great, what’ll bug you about it, and why Buchla-inspired west coast synthesis deserves a place in your sonic toolbox. With demos of the Buchla 200 and Music Easel, you’ll also get to hear the gear in action.
Here's how the evening looks:
5pm to 5.30pm: Saying hi, getting set up, getting going
5.30pm to 6.30pm: Short sharp electronic music sets by new members of Bloop Groop
7.15pm to 8pm: "Buchla: What the Fuchla?" masterclass talk
8pm to 10pm: Longer short electronic music sets by seasoned Bloopers
Event's on 25 Oct, 5pm to 10pm, come for 20 mins, come for the whole 5 hours, pop in and out, we don't mind. It's on in the fabulous Bay 1, at The Digital Hub Development Agency on Thomas St, Dublin 8.
Bring a few cans, make use of the kitchen, the evening is chilled out. Not exactly a gig, not exactly an EMOM, not exactly a meetup, Bloop Groop has a unique low-stakes timbre all its own.

Caroline Swords and Gary Byrne founded Bloop Groop - we're a community of electronic musicians of every level who support each other in achieving our creative goals instead of going it alone.
