Chasma Legio: Mid/side dynamics processor on the Legio platform

video upload by Noise Engineering

"Chasma Legio is a mid/side dynamics processor built for shaping, gluing, widening, and completely wrecking a stereo mix.

Chasma splits your stereo signal into its Mid and Side components, giving us independent control over the dynamics of what's happening in the center and out at the edges.

Let's start with the Mid and Side Compressor switches. Each gives you three levels of dynamics processing.

Then you have separate Mid and Side Limit controls. These set the ceiling for each, letting you push and shape the two parts of the stereo field independently.

And then there's Distortion. Keep it near the center and things stay clean. Turn it to the right for saturation, and to the left and you enter glitchy, popping territory.

And because we are Noise Engineering, you have an FSU input. Hit it with a gate and Chasma instantly changes the Mid and Side processing for some dramatic shifts in the mix.

Chasma is just one of the free firmwares you can explore on the Legio platform. Connect your Legio over USB and swap between them whenever you want.
