Announcing: VL Editor for the Yamaha VL1, VL1-m, and VL7 Physical Modeling Synths

"Defective Records Software is happy to announce VL Editor, a new editor supporting version 2 of the Yamaha VL1, VL1-m, and VL7 physical modeling synths, available on both Mac and Windows as both a standalone and as a plugin (VST3, AU and CLAP).

It includes all of the functionality that was available in Yamaha's three original Classic Mac OS editors (Expert, Visual and Analog), including full support for all of the physics parameters that are not accessible from the synths themselves. It's fully bi-directional; edit on either the synth or the software, and the changes are immediately reflected in the other. It also has as several new features like randomization, drag and drop preset rearrangement, element morphing (inspired by Robert Skerjanc's awesome hardware controller), explanatory tooltips (guided by Manny Fernandex's superb VL Tutorial), and many others.

Future support for the VL70-m and the VL soundcards is being considered, as is Linux support. More info: https://defectiverecords.com/vleditor"
