There's never been an analog polysynth like this before...

video upload by Oscillator Sink

"It could be argued that of all the genres of synthesisers out there in the world, the "analogue polysynth" is the most conservative. That's not to suggest that there aren't some fantastic instruments out there, but to me, they tend to feel like refinements and iterations on a few long established designs.

It's a real rarity to find an analogue polysynth that you can point to and say 'that's never been done before', which is why the Echon6 from Morphor was such an exciting proposition when I met it at Superbooth earlier this year. An analogue Karplus-Strong synthesiser, marrying analog VCOs and carefully controlled analog delay chips is something that, to my knowledge, no one has ever done before.

In this video I'm going to focus mostly on the sounds and the synthesis engine, crafting some patches, as well as scattering in some mostly no-talking demos of presets I've made while learning the instrument - and I've made quite a few as I've spent months with it before making this video because, as it was a whole new concept to me and I wanted to really know it in depth before attempting to tell you about it.
