"This is a crazy analog monster waiting to have touch points added to give you the kinds of sounds only bit depth destroyers and expensive waveshapers will give you.

Plus, it also has the quaint features of a organ-top drum machine. It's a humble monster."

AK Drummer

Published on Oct 17, 2013 fonitronik·27 videos

"A short demo of the AK Drummer transistor drummachine.
Even though it was sold as a kind of toy in the 80ies (?) it has very interesting innards: the actual sound circuitry is obviously kind of a 70ies transistor species. i did not trace it down or re-engineer it, however, i bet these are kind of simplified ace tone or roland wiedergangers.

So just imagine this would be housed in a tolex box (double the size) with an ace tone, roland or korg logo on it. you would be fine..."

This is the first AK Drummer post.

Update via Michael in the comments: "according to this link it was sold under different names; 'AK', 'Super Sound' and 'Cort'"
