Evil Chaotic Analog Synthesizer Noise Box

via this auction

"Here’s an original work of functional art, created by New York artist, Bent-It. The piece shown in the pictures is the one you will receive.

With this piece, Bent-It combines visual, audible, and physical stimulation, fostering a truly unique, thought-provoking, interactive work of art. The artist’s fundamental concept of “art creating art” is made evident, as the owner of this piece may physically control and manipulate the audio/sound/noise/music/art output.

The guts of this functional artwork include three oscillators which mess with each other, causing its ¼” output to spit out droning, spaced-out, ring modish, 80’s video game-ish, psychedelic analog noises. The on-off switch can also be flipped rhythmically to create cosmic/spacey, bleeping and blooping. But, to experience the full potential hook it up to audio effect pedals, boards, racks, Mac or PC. The piece also has a ¼” input for anything with a strong enough signal. For example a drum machine such as a Roland tr-505 drum machine.

This one-of-a-kind specially modded unit has an extra FAT silicon transistor fuzz circuit, volume/fatness control and two extra mini slide switches which hold the push button functions.

A standard BOSS style 9-volt DC, negative tip, 200ma wallwart adapter will bring this functional artwork to life. It is not included.

Please see my other auctions for more quality gear."

Sound Thrasher 3.0

via
this auction
"Here’s an original piece of functional art, created by New York outsider artist, Bent-It. This particular work of art is part of his Sound Thrasher series. The piece shown in the pictures is the one you will receive.

With this piece, Bent-It combines visual, audible, and physical stimulation, fostering a truly unique, thought-provoking, interactive work of art. The artist’s fundamental concept of “art creating art” is made evident, as the owner of this piece may physically control and manipulate the audio/ sound/ noise/ music/ art output.

The guts of this functional art piece include three oscillators which play with each other, causing its ¼” output to spit out droning, spaced-out, ring modish, 80’s video game-ish, psychedelic analog noises. The on/off switch can also be flipped rhythmically, allowing for some wicked bleeping/blooping noises. But, to experience, what you could call, the full potential of this piece, go ahead and hook it up to an audio effect pedal, board, rack, or even your Mac or PC, and explore the infinite world of soundscapes that you can create. The Sound Thrasher has a ¼” input for anything with a strong enough signal to effect the piece. For example the audio clips made with a roland tr-505 drum machine where the Sound Thrasher more than lives up to its name – thrashing and destroying any incoming sound waves and mutating them into sounds of vulgarity or beauty, depending upon your style and taste of audio/sound/noise/music/art.

A standard boss-style 9-volt DC wallwart adapter will bring this functional art piece to life. It is not included."

Sound Thrasher 2.0 - Analog Noise Box

via this auction.
"This is a 100% original functional art piece, by New York outsider artist Bent-It, which is one from his new Sound Thrasher series. It has two oscillators that modulate eachother making for some tripped out droning, 80's video game-ish, spacey, ring modish, psychedelic analog noise all by itself. But when you plug in anything that's loud enough, like the drum machine i uded in the sound clips, the Sound Thrasher 2.0 will more then live up to it's name and Thrash any incoming sound waves creating really harsh, or beautiful depending on your taste, noise/music. Also you can flip the on-off switch rhythmically for some cool sounds. This piece also comes with a 1/4" input and output. The 1/4" out allows you to plug this thing into all your favorite effects pedals and boards or directly into your amp (but using effects is way cooler and broadens your sound making capabilities astronomically). It runs on a standard boss style 9 volt DC wall-wart adapter"

These samples were made using an amp with a cheesy built in delay effect.

These samples were made with a roland tr-505 drum machine plugged into the Sound Thrasher 2.0's input. The Sound Thrasher 2.0 is plugged into the same amp used to make the clips above.
