"Another VTech talky box here, and this is one of the best yet! A whole host of mods take this one into a whole new sonic dimension.
4 glitch buttons linked with an 12 point rotary selector give a huge range of different glitch noises and possibilities, you'll get all sorts of great noises from these - from bizarre blurps to trippy melodic loops.
An LTC pitch circuit has been added and honed to give excellent control over the speed of the device, taking the melodies and glitches from deep and bassy low bitcrushed monster growls, all the way up to chirpy blips and squeaks.
There's also an extra Power switch and indicator LED to shut the device down when not in use, and a quarter inch output jack for sending the output to a recording device, amplifier, or run it through effects pedals - this thing sounds great through some nice speakers!
Added Features
Pitch Knob
4 Glitch Buttons
8 Way Rotary Glitch Source Switch
1/4" Mono Output Jack"

Frankensnail - Ready To Rumble
Published on Jan 25, 2013 elohess2·74 videos
"Next Circuit Bending toy is ready. It's again one of th Vtech snail. I've collected a lot of them and plan to join all in "band". Each snail should be different and will have an own name.
This is 'Franksnail'.
Powered by an Arduino sequencer and modulated with signals from some simple CMOS oszillators (Lunettas). This is only a feature demonstration. I've done this video for myself, cause I often have the problem to remember after a while how the toys work, when I use them again after month. :-) The sequencer is based on a source I've written as a plattform for a simple, timing stable sequencer for the Arduinos"

Brass & Glitch - Circuit Bent VTech Talking Whiz Kid Plus
YouTube Uploaded by SeaweedFactory on Feb 27, 2012
"Here's a circuit bent VTech Talking Whiz Kid Plus. The membrane keyboard has been replaced by brass stripes which control bend points. The brass keys were added so the machine would be easier to play. From left to right the controls are power, scramble, glitch, long loop, short loop, volume, and distortion. A 1/4" output is provided. This piece makes great glitching babble sounds. Watch the LCD screen for glitches as well.
