Gotharman’s Introduces AnaX USB – USB to CV Expander

Gotharman’s has today announced the AnaX USB.

It is a USB to CV expander which works with many of our current instruments – Zaturn, SpazeDrum, Little deformer 3 and Tiny LD.

It has 4 CV/trigger inputs and 4 CV/trigger outputs.

All modulation sources of the connected instrument can be sent to the 4 CV outputs (minijacks).
The output range is 0 to +5V.
4 LEDs will show the activity of the outputs.

The 4 CV inputs (minijacks) appear as modulation sources, and it is possible to trigger parts from these.
The input range can be set individually for each input to +5V, +-5V, +10V or +-10V, to match the sources.

On Zaturn it is also possible to sample the CV signals and convert them into draw waves, for further manipulation.

Connects to the USB connector of your Gotharman instrument.

Comes in a black box 12.5 x 8 x 2.5 cm.

USB cable included!

Shipping is expected to start in early April 2025.

"Gosh, I'm pretty tired from this week, but I still wanted to record ... something ... with my Gotharman TinyLD granular workstation synth and Flight of Harmony's Infernal Noise Machine INM-E Eurorack noise synth ... so here is ... something :D Have a nice weekend!

INM-E audio goes into the TinyLD, where it's processed by granular sound FX and side-chain compression. The TinyLD then plays some synthesized drums, a bass line and two metallic bleeps and bloop voices. There are also two additional INM-E noodle recordings with some FoH Sound of Shadows delay going on, where I just explore around the domains more or less audibly.

Gotharman's Tiny LD: Chill Sample-Based Beat // #TTNM

"I've been watching a lot of Accurate Beats' YouTube videos lately and listened to tons of Brock Berrigan on top of that, so I got in the mood to try out some sample-based beat making on Gotharman's Tiny LD. This was a fun test run! I'm usually more into the experimental side of the Little Deformer 3's smaller sister here, but it worked really nicely as a strange Akai MPC substitute as well.

The main sample was recorded and edited on my iPad in iMPC Pro 2 (not really a big fan of this app to be honest, but it got the job done). I then transferred the WAV file with some additional royalty free 808 drum samples to the Tiny LD with a USB stick. Since the main sample was already looping nicely, I could chop it up automatically on the Tiny LD. Then I used Chop-Keyboard mode to spread the chops over the keyboard keys and keep them all inside a single 'part'. Drums were the already mentioned 808 samples and the Bass and Synths are internal sound engines. The rest is the usual Gotharman sequencing, morphing and effects then :)

That was a lot more fun to me than 'playing' with a keyboard :D"

For this modification I mounted a DIY MIDI controller inside Gotharman's Tiny LD granular synthesizer workstation, to give me more knobs, switches and a light dependent resistor (LDR), so that I won't need to lug around an external MIDI controller and more cables. This VLOG also compares the Tiny LD to the bigger Little deFormer 3 a little bit."

The Tiny LD is the small version of Gotharman's Little deFormer 3 synth & sampler workstation. It runs the same operating system and offers the same features, but with fewer physical controls and expansion options. The small size make it a nicely portable, yet super deep, granular synth all-in-one instrument.

For this jam session I created various synth, noise and drum sounds with the internal digital synth engines of the Tiny LD. I added some of its internal effects and then partly re-sampled the outcome and put it back together in a granularized fashion :D
