From Moog to Teenage Engineering OP-XY: A Messenger-Inspired Jam
video upload by Lo-fi Pask
"Inspired by the announcement of the new Moog Messenger, I set out to craft a track using my Teenage Engineering OP-XY, built entirely from Moog synthesizer samples.
Analog soul meets digital precision — warm, vintage tones reimagined through a cutting-edge portable synth.
This entire piece was composed on a moving train, using the Obscura 76 sound pack — a collection packed with dark textures, retro character, and the unmistakable vibe of classic Moog gears.
The result is a cinematic, introspective soundscape that blends ambient music, experimental electronica, and the freedom of mobile music production.

Teenage Engineering OP-XY: Distorted Electro-Rock ⚡Live Jam in Overdrive
video upload by Lo-fi Pask
"A moment of deceptive calm. Lately, inspiration has been playing hard to get, yet the need to express myself is stronger than ever. So, I dug into some old projects—and this track was the very first one I crafted with the Teenage Engineering OP-XY. Though, in its original form, it was something entirely different. I called it "Apparent Calm".
To capture my current state of mind, I decided to push things a little further, adding a touch of distortion with the TC Electronic Dark Matter pedal effect. Thanks to OP-XY’s versatility, I could shape it exactly the way I wanted, applying it only where it felt right.
That distortion effect gives the track a more rock, alternative edge—just the way I like it. It adds grit, raw energy, and a certain unpredictability that makes the whole piece feel alive.
As always, this is a live jam, recorded in one take, so expect a few spontaneous twists and turns. I took my time, played it smooth, and tried to avoid mistakes (though, let’s be real, some made it in anyway).
If you love electronic (but also rock) music, experimental sound design, and live performance, this one’s for you. Hope you enjoy the ride! 🚀🎶

Teenage Engineering OP-XY (Both factory presets and personal ones)
TC Electronic Dark Matter (Distorsion)
Teenage Engineering TX-6 (used for recording)"

Teenage Engineering OP-XY: from Ambient to Darkwave
video upload by Lo-fi Pask
"I tried to create another ambient track with the Teenage Engineering OP-XY, something evocative but at the same time melancholic. What came out has some ambient elements, but it quickly evolves into something much harsher.
All the sounds come from the OP-XY, and I only used the Teenage Engineering TX-6 for recording in this case. The distortion in the second part was added using OP-XY's mastering tools. I created several scenes, but I chose not to sequence them to make the video a bit more dynamic. Because of this, not everything went perfectly, but I was happy with the first take, so I kept it.
I hope you enjoy it!

Ambient with Teenage Engineering OP-XY (Inside the Airport)
video upload by Lo-fi Pask
"It's incredible how easily ideas take shape with Teenage Engineering OP-XY. Last night, while working on another project, this 'ambient' experiment was born. I used all factory presets, except for the airport background noise. It was recorded with the Teenage Engineering TX-6, which added extra reverb and some other effects.
Better with headphones.
Enjoy.

A 16-BIT videogame's song made with OP-Z by Teenage Engineering
Published on May 6, 2020 Lo-fi Pask
"I was playing Streets of Rage 4, I felt inspired and wanted to make a song for a videogame. As I'm "an old man", it's obviously thought for a 16-BIT era game! :-) Can't say the genre, maybe a cyberpunk side scrolling platform/action game. I also put some retrogaming consoles in the scene, like the original GameBoy and my first synth/love, the Pocket Operator PO-20 Arcade. Special guest: Gizmo, from Gremlins!
Wish you'll enjoy the video. :-D"

"Colorful Rhythm" feat. Teenage Engineering OP-Z + ROLI LUMI Keys
Published on Apr 27, 2020 Lo-fi Pask
"Took this old OP-Z project and added some "spice" to use the LUMI Keys as MIDI controller. The result is incredibly... COLORFUL! :-D
Bass, drums, arpeggiator, chords and... everything else you can hear, comes from Teenage Engineering OP-Z. All sounds sequenced on it, except of chords and (semi-improvised) arpeggiator, played "live".
Enjoy! ;-)

Tales From The Loop Music - Retro-Futuristic Cover feat. OP-Z and LUMI Keys
Published on Apr 20, 2020 Lo-fi Pask
"I did it again, another TV Show Cover! :-) Teenage Engineering's OP-Z new EP sounds were perfect to make a cover of Amazon Prime Tales From The Loop's Music Theme.
All sounds are sequenced on (and comes from) OP-Z, but I also used the Roli LUMI Keys as controller, to play some (electric) piano parts.
The Original music theme has been made by Philip Glass and Paul Leonard-Morgan.
Tales From The Loop TV Show is inspired by retro-futuristic images from Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag: in my video you'll see images from his books, like The Electric State (2017), Things From The Flood (2016) and Tales From The Loop (2014)."
