Moog Voyager Baby Scratch
Published on Feb 19, 2019 Subtronik
"I made this patch after seeing the Moogist's Voyager scratch video: [below]
This patch is as close to a real record scratch as I've heard from a Moog. This video simply shows the Voyagers versatility. I used a vanilla beat for this because anything more complicated made it difficult to hear the Voyagers pseudo squelchy record scratching.
Here's the patch: http://www.artistserver.com/m2/3611/1..."
How to "MOOG SCRATCH"
Published on Aug 13, 2009 t i m t s a n g // 円相 co.
"How does Moogist do his crazy awesome Moog Scratch sound?
Here are the 7 steps:
Step 1 - Turn on Oscillator 1. Use the 8' octave setting.
Step 2 - Select the sawtooth wave setting.
Step 3 - Add Oscillator 2 to the mix. Also use the 8' octave setting.
Step 4 - Add "1-2 SYNC" for more grit to the sound.
Step 5 - Add Oscillator 3 to the mix.
Step 6 - Turn on the "Glide" function to enable the smooth sliding sound.
Step 7 - Extend the "Attack" time (turn the knob to a greater value) of the "Filter Envelope" Section. This will enable the sound to not be attacked straight on but instead each note will have a sliding effect going into it before it reaches the actual pitch at the peak. (Make sure to set your "Mod Wheel Destination" to "Pitch")

Kurzweil K2000 Base Editing II
YouTube Uploaded by Subtronik on Oct 8, 2011
"This is a basic Kurzweil K2000 VP virtual analog tutorial.
The algorithm I chose generates sawtooth waveforms and doesn't use any samples. Throughout the tutorial I explain every page function and parameter I work with.
The K2000 is loaded with options. This tutorial simply skims the surface of it's possibilities using it's vast architecture.

"Here's some personal examples of the K2000's easy editing to create huge VA sounds in minutes.
The top '199 default program' is a generic piano that I used as a base template. The next four programs are post edits of 199, while the fifth was done in real time to show dynamics, richness and the K2000's massive features."

"Here's some examples of the more intense sounds the Kurzweil K2000 can produce.
I used it's base default program to design five base patches to showcase the K2000's ability to make high quality 'virtual analog' sounds.
I finished with a single 'real-time' edit using the same default program showing each parameter in case anyone wants to reproduce the patch."

Comments Not Working
Looks like the last comment to come in was on the 27th. I'm too busy posting to have noticed. Thanks goes to Subtronik for bringing this to my attention. I'm guessing it's a Blogger issue as I haven't changed anything since then and I was having trouble posting. I'll see what I can find out when I have time.
Some info on the issue here.
Update: "I set Blogger to post comments in the old comment format that brings you to a separate comments page. Personally I prefer comments underneath posts, but the old format is better than nothing. Hopefully the main comments list page will continue to work."

Kurzweil K2000 Demo I
YouTube Uploaded by Subtronik on May 21, 2011
"This is my Kurzweil K2000 VP with the upgraded v3.87 OS that can read any K2 series sounds including ISO CD's. This video demonstrates the K2000's sound quality and versatility using presets from the 'Electron Bomb' CD that came with my Kurzweil CD-ROM drive.
This is my second K2000. I'll be keeping this one because of the easy interface, rich sound, algorithmic shapers, syncs and filters.

YouTube via Subtronik — June 17, 2010 — "This is a short example of how easy it is to create rich, dynamic and interesting sounds on the Voyager. "This video showcases the Moog Voyager Editor Librarian Preset Genetics.
Preset Genetics allows you to quickly build new sounds from two existing ones in a similar fashion to breeding. Parameters of each of the two sources (parents) are combined using four different functions to generate a new bank of presets (kids).
I only used the 'Random' feature this time to generate abstract sounds. No effects were used. Watch your volume, some of these sounds are loud.

I only used the first three 'Preset Genetic' generators here for basses and leads because the fourth 'Random' function mainly generates abstract sounds. I'll be doing a second video dedicated to the 'Random' function soon.
