Tom of Music Thing put up this post speculating a new Moogerfooger might be coming. The one Moogefooger missing from a basic MOOG modular set up would be... an Oscillator. Well, ADSR envelopes as well, but maybe they can find a way to squeeze that in.
On AH, Andrew said it perfectly: "With all of this talk of what Moog should or shouldn't do, here's my guess of what their next release will probably be: a moogerfooger oscillator with built-in pitch-to-cv converter, done Electro-Harmonix Microsynth-style but with a more fully-featured oscillator (different waveforms, adjustable pulse width and a CV in for PWM). It's basically the one current gap in their lineup, and it could be easily pitched to all current product owners - 'add another oscillator to your LP or Voyager,' 'turn your existing moogerfoogers into a full-fledged mini-modular synth,' add a 'synthesizer' sound to your guitar lineup'' - even 'add a real MOOG oscillator to your modular synth' for modern modular owners."
Sounds mighty nice to me. My dream? Little MOOG SEMs! You could use them stand alone like a Moogerfooger or add them for polyphony to your Voyager or Little Phatty.
