The top is a proposed system from Adam-V and the bottom is from synthmonger. They are just examples of what you can do with DIY modular systems. Not only can you customize systems to meet your sonic palette but you can of course completely customize the look and feel of your modular.

Hello you. There is a reason why I covered this song, check out the blog on the above website to find out...
Also check out the Batgirl-style leap at the beginning of the video (I STILL haven't worked out how to edit properly) and the inability to play a simple glock. Those music lessons at primary school clearly paid off.
The Tenori-on here is brought to you in association with The Green Lady."
I haven't posted on the thread in a while. Quite a few nice modular shots like this one have gone up since then. You can find the thread on electro-music.com here. Pics of modulars and their descriptions.
Pictured here is an Aries modular in custom case from kkissinger.
Regarding the green buttons: "When I upgraded the Aries to nine VCOs, it became apparent that I would need a LOT of patch cords just to support the routine patching of control voltages and gate/triggers from the keyboards to the VCOs. Additionally, the synth has two VCFs and a Phaser/Flanger that would often track along with the VCOs. The solution to this situation was the green buttons." You can find more info on the thread.
