YouTube Uploaded by TheDaydreamSound on Mar 17, 2011
"Using the Ensoniq EPS, without any plugins or effects, we'll see if it's possible to reduce the bit depth of a sampler or digital audio recorders native bit resolution.

Bit Depth Basic Definition:
In digital audio, bit depth describes the number of bits of information recorded for each sample. Bit depth directly corresponds to the resolution of each sample in a set of digital audio data. Common examples of bit depth include CD quality audio, which is recorded at 16 bits, and DVD-Audio, which can support up to 24-bit audio."

Kawai K1r playing "Fade to Grey"
YouTube Uploaded by SynthesizerDemos on Jun 22, 2010
"The K1r is a 4 part multi-timbral synthesizer originally released in 1988. It uses a form of synthesis similar to the Roland D50, e.g. stringing the attack of acoustic instruments onto electronically generated waveforms and/or vectoring various waveforms together. Each patch can use up to 4 different waveforms to create sounds.
This synth is great for punchy, electronic sounding drums (think Simmons or 808) as well as warm, ethereal pads and glassy, eerie sounds. It also can do some decent basses and weird sheets of noise. Not so good for analog-style fatness, however."
