Introducing the otherworldly tones of the Make Noise Phonegene and freinds
YouTube Uploaded by skrapadelix on Oct 26, 2011
"I'll probably never afford a Buchla 200e... but on the plus side I can scrape together enough dough for a ton of Make Noise and some other cool modules.
This was the night my Phonogene and Rene arrived - I slapped them in my Goike case and started patching away as usual without a clue as to what I was doing - ended up with this evolving patch that sounds like some 60's sic-fi kitsch played by green-skinned alien chicks in a silver bikinis and tinfoil wigs... insane!"
Eurorack Live Salutes Basic Channel - and the Flame Talking Synth
YouTube Uploaded by skrapadelix on Aug 1, 2011
"This was tonight's attempt at a Basic Channel style dub loop.
Believe it or not the bass is just the Flame Talking Synth into an A-105. The metallic offbeat hat sound is the Gamma Wave Source into the ModDemix, kick is the DB99, and the stabs are the Z3000 into the A-113, plus the A-112 into the Sound of Shadows delay. Reverb from the Z5000.
As usual everything is totally live with no additional editing at all - I like the challenge of keeping in real-time and working with a limited set of modules. Eurorack really rocks my world"

Machines Have Souls: Eurorack Goes Minimal
YouTube Uploaded by skrapadelix on Jul 28, 2011
"This Eurorack modular was designed as a homage to Buchla with West Coast experimental weirdness firmly in mind - but something tells me it has other ideas...
Everything you see and hear happened in real-time with no external effects or editing... apologies for the shitty video but you just don't get these crazy moments in Reason, Live - or any software package I've used for that matter.
Just for the record and before I forget it all, sequencing is from the trusty A-155, Brains + PP and a 160/161 combo. The noises at the beginning are the WMD Gamma Wave Source,ModDemix,Sound of Shadows - Wasp Filter with me tweaking the SoS delay time/feedback and the Wasp cutoff. The kick is the Analogue Solutions BD99, the bass is the AFG-Borg 1, the strange pad is a Z3000-A-113-SEM filter + A-121 in parallel configuration. There's a Flame Talking Synth making some crazy background noises... and lastly some reverb from the Z5000.
Anyway, please send me your modular videos, soundcloud etc! Cheers"

You can hear my A-113 in the following video at the 1:21 mark - I love that sound and am going to miss it:"
Eurorack Live Jam starring the Doepfer A-113
YouTube Uploaded by skrapadelix on Jul 5, 2011
"A live improvisation featuring the Doepfer Subharmonic generator noodling over an AFG and a WMD Gamma Wave Source. Drums are the DB99 and A-117, sequencing from the A-155. The lead melody is a simple sawtooth waveform which feeds the A-113 set to produce 4 sub harmonies - it also drives the transpose function on the A-156. The A-113 effect is subtle but mysterious... I could listen to it all night - and probably will.
Another highly underrated module from our dear friend Dieter Doepfer. Oh yeah, it also makes a fantastic clock divider as well (thanks Goikes for that suggestion)"
