One Week Left for Buchla Documentary Fundraising
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/589078128/buchla-documentary
Ron Buchla is as important to the world of synthesizers as Bob Moog. Buchla brought us his first synthesizers at the same time as Moog back in 1963. He is one of the greatest synth pioneers and along with Bob Moog is considered one of the two fathers of modern day synthesis. His creations brought us a world of sound exploration not limited by the focus of creating tonal music. He initially shied away from the use of keyboards for that reason. His implementation of keys were touchplate controllers used to trigger and morph sounds over time. When many of us think about the art of synthesis we think about discovering sounds never heard before and getting lost in sonic exploration. His approach to synthesis broke tonal barriers and freed us to do so. Don Buchla's work was a direct descendant of the tape machines used in Musique Concrete. This documentary will celebrate the father of electronic sound exploration and design.

"Arduino Guitar Pedal!!!!!! Program your own FX!!!!!
This is the "SUPER COMPUTER!!! v1.1"
This is a one off prototype I built of a programmable guitar stomp-box, works flawless, with TRUE BYPASS and an ultra heavy duty case.
44kHz sampling rate, 2 steel knobs, well built, arduino can come out and be used for other things or you can mod this stomp box.
Here is some example sound of a crunchy FX I programmed but you can program this box to do anything!!
Like:
Guitar/vocal fx
LFO for modular synth
CV generator
Tone generator
Synth
You can get lots of pre-written code for it here and
here
Listen to my FX here (note there is some line noise because my guitar is broken and u had to use a strum stick i built which has a bit of noise but the box is nice and clean sounding.)
powers via USB cable so power it from a laptop or use one of those apple AC to usb wall warts, or one of the cheap ones."

Vintage Moog 1125 Sample and Hold Controller
Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

"What you see here is the extremely rare Moog 1125 Sample and Hold Controller. It does not generate sound on its own, it is designed to control specific vintage Moog synthesizers with the Cinch Jones Accessory Port --- Minimoog Model D, Micromoog, Multimoog, Polymoog, Sonic Six, and I believe the Moog Modular as well. As you can see this is in very good physical condition, however there are minor scratches and dings typical of something of this age. Also you will see on the bottom of the unit there are the remnants of what looks like a sticker. I did not attempt to remove it as I was afraid of damaging the panel with chemicals. This unit comes complete with repaired wiring harness so it is ready for use out of the box (just add synthesizer).
Of particular note is that this unit also includes a custom made power supply which SHOULD allow you to use the controller INDEPENDENTLY of the specific Moog models listed above, as it provides power for them via the Cinch Jones Accessory connector. This power supply is NOT necessary when connecting to the Moog models listed above, it is only for connecting to synthesizers without the Accessory Port (which powers the accessory). Once plugged in then you may connect the 1/4" jacks into the CV input of your preferred synthesizer, and with the provider adapter cord the gate signal as well..."

No quantization (is pretty easy to hear, eh eh), no double 960 Sequencer for automated speeding; a lot of hoxidation on connectors. Audio straight form iPhone - sorry."

Modular polyphony - First try with the Vermona QMI

"Hello ! My name is Frederic Gerchambeau. I have made this movie and this music. The music has been made using a Doepfer analog modular system. Enjoy !"
Vermona QMIs on eBay
"qMI is a quad MIDI-to-CV converter-module suitable for modular synthesizer systems in eurorack format. qMI is based upon the voice allocating unit of VERMONA's PERfourMER MKII and supports monophonic as well as polyphonic playing.
Each of unit's four output channels offers output for Key-CV (1v/oct.), gate as well as two additional CV-outputs to redirect MIDI-controllers like modulation wheel or pitch bend. The output channels can be freely combined or used independently with individual MIDI-channels. Combined output channels can be played in unison, monophonically with rotating voice allocation or polyphonically.
qMI offers four clock-divider-outputs, which convert incoming MIDI-clock to analogue gate-voltages. A reset-output allows MIDI-start/stop-commands to be converted to control components of your modular synthesizer system, e.g. a step-sequencer and keep it synchronized this way.
Simple handling and immediate access to all parameters is an important part of qMI's concept. Therefore, qMI allows a straightforward combination of your modular synthesizer and MIDI-system."

For free patches, click here: http://goo.gl/kMstM
I have to admit that Animoog is becoming one of my favorite iSynths (besides WaveGenerator): you can obtain deep, warm, analog sounds, with a complex structure.
This video may be unsynchronized with audio on same parts.
Thank you for watching!"
