KiwiTechnics Patch Editor - Synth Controller with Original Box

"The Patch Editor can control a whole host of other synthesizers. I found that one of the coolest things about this unit is it's ability to convert midi CC information into sysex data, a feature that's pretty unique in hardware midi controllers! In any case, I'd suggest that you carefully read the user manual before purchasing and make sure that it does what you want it to do. Please note that this unit does not come with a power supply! You'll find plenty of info (including power supply compatibility) on the Kiwitechnics website..."

Serge VCA Comparison

Published on May 19, 2013 pjoris2·36 videos

I'm hearing the right continue to rise with headphones, so I'm guessing the following is reverse?

"Comparison of the VCAs in the Serge X-Fader (on the Creature) and the VCA/Comp (on the Mayhem). Sounds of the two VCA are panned hard left (your left when you sit facing the speakers: X-Fader) and hard right (your right when you sit facing the speakers: VCA/Comp) -- I think, unless I wired my speakers the wrong way around ... Anyway you should be able to hear it, the VCA/Comp is bit smoother/slower. It can't keep up with the audio-rate AM (reaches a max. tone while the X-Fader can still rise). Well there you are: they are different. I guess the one in the VCA/Comp is more geared towards CVs, the one in the X-fader for audio.

I am noticing when looking at the scope I'm overdriving the VCA/Comp ! I'll try to do without this tomorrow or so ... Can you actually overdrive the X-Fader ? maybe another difference ?"

Quantized Chaos

"The modular has gained a few new friends. A modified Barton Circuits Simple Quantizer, a Yusynth Quad VC-Panner & Mixer and a CGS Serge 1973 VCF.

The output of the Yusynth Sample and Hold and the Stepped Random output of my Enigma module are quantized and sent to VCO1&2 respectively. VCO 2 is synced to VCO 1. The Ian Fritz Chaos module is handling most of the modulation. Extensive wobbly cam used through out."

Hyparxis Vs The Dictator Of Candyland - Patience

"Live analogue techno, done in one take on a Doepfer modular synth and nothing else, in mono."

via Don O'Macronite on The MATRIXSYNTH Lounge

"Me & a friend made this on a two-suitcase Doepfer a-100 modular that's owned by the University Of Limerick Ireland. The patch too three days to build, and of course I ran out of patches. It's based heavily on feedback loops between modules and some clock modifiers and PLL. I built the patch and my friend Jack played it live, one take, in mono! Only processing is a touch of stereo-ification and a bit of compression in the DAW after the fact."
